Your adventure begins with a visit to the vibrant Bac Ha Market, held every Sunday morning, where colorful H’Mong and other ethnic minority communities gather to trade local products, handicrafts, and livestock. Renowned as the largest and most lively market in the region, Bac Ha offers a unique glimpse into the authentic culture of northern Vietnam.
After exploring the market, continue to the charming town of Sapa, celebrated for its spectacular mountain landscapes, cascading rice terraces, and rich ethnic diversity. 20:45 - 21:30: Our driver will pick you up at your hotel in the Old Quarter and take you to the train station.
22:00: The train departure, take you go to Lao Cai station (around at 4:30 am on the next day arrive Lao Cai Station, but you sleep until 6:00am)
06:30 Be greeted by our tour guide and driver upon arrival at Lao Cai train station, before being transferred to Sapa village, by a shared tourist bus. The bus ride uphill to Sapa takes a little over an hour, and will give you a glimpse of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces as you make this short trip.
Once arriving in the hotel in Sapa, an early check in follows if room is available, otherwise in the interim, you will have access to a basic room for your refreshment, before enjoying breakfast prior to going on the morning tour.
08:30 Start your tour with 6km of walking down to the South East of Sapa along the side of Muong Hoa valley to Y Linh Ho village, home of the Black H’mong people. Then continue with a 3km-trek down to Lao Chai village. Here we will stop for a simple lunch before exploring the village. After lunch, continue trekking through terraced rice fields to Ta Van, village of the Dzay minority people. This trek is relatively easy, though the trail can be quite slippery if it rains, so good footwear is recommended.
11:30 - 12:00 Having lunch at Ta Van village and rest
13:00 - 15:00 Tour guide will take you to visit the villages of the local people with terraced fields and streams.
15:00 Return to Sapa by shared tourist bus and check in to your hotel. You will then have free time to explore the town, especially its market with all the colorful handicrafts, and interact with the locals.
18:30 Having dinner at restaurant
7:30 Have breakfast at the restaurant.
8:30 We begin our next day of adventures, that will take in exploring the villages which are located in a little bit further to the South-west of Sapa (around 4 km) including a visit to Cat Cat village, home of the ‘Black H’mong’ people. This trek offers some stunning views of a picturesque waterfall and the vestige of a hydro- electric power station which was built in the early 20th century. Here you can also see the local villagers working in the paddy rice fields, watch their children playing as only rural kid can, and get close up to animal such as water-buffaloes, pot-bellied pigs and chickens and taking pictures. Enjoy your lunch and the mountainous scenery.
Later, we continue to hike to Sin Chai village (3km) situated at the base of Fansipan Mountain, (which is also well-known as ‘the roof of Vietnam and Indochina’). Here you will see stunning landscape in every direction and more photo opportunities before heading back to Sapa town.

14:30 Explore the town on your own for the rest of your day.
Dinner and overnight in Sapa
Located 110km from Sapa, Bac Ha is famous for its Sunday market which is a trading centre and meeting place for couples, friends, and relatives, of at least 8 ethnic groups every Sunday from 09:00 until 14:00. This visit offers the travelers a great opportunity to witness a diverse range of lifestyles, dress, life attitudes and living conditions as you move among the hill-tribes people as they go about their market life, and enjoy the scenery and backdrop of this spectacular mountainous region. Take the opportunity to get up close and personal with the children, families and witness their cultural interactions. Enjoy lunch with the locals before taking on the afternoon activity.
The afternoon continues the adventure, as we go for a light trek to visit Ban Pho village, which is well- known as the home of the flower H’Mong minority people. Here you will be invited to enter several local houses, and enjoy some green tea, corn wine, and listen to the host sharing about their family and their daily life. Look as you listen, there is so much to see!
After the visit, say goodbye to the locals and enjoy the landscapes to Bac Ha.
17:30 - 18:30: Get pick up and then transfer down hill to Lao Cai station for taking the overnight train to Hanoi. Then taking time for getting ticket from our guide and Get on the overnight train from Sapa to Hanoi. (Overnight on Sleeping train with a sharing 4 people in a deluxe cabin)
On the train comeback Hanoi. End of tour.
